Bahia Resort Hotel Honored with TripAdvisor’s 2014 Certificate of Excellence Award
San Diego, CA – The Bahia Resort Hotel has been honored with TripAdvisor’s 2014 Certificate of Excellence Award, which recognizes hospitality excellence and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.
For the week of May 26, the Bahia ranked 41st among San Diego’s 269 hotels on TripAdvisor, an all-time high. The Bahia ranked 59th at the same time last year.
“We couldn’t be more proud and grateful to receive this award for the first time,” said General Manager Jim Greene. “Every member of my team works tirelessly to provide customer service that goes above and beyond the industry standard. We appreciate the recognition and thank all of our guests who provide such positive feedback.”
When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account reviews ratings. Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, volume, and recency of reviews. Additional criteria include a business’ tenure and popularity ranking on the site.
“TripAdvisor is pleased to honor exceptional hospitality businesses for consistent excellence,” said Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business. “The Certificate of Excellence award gives top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers. From Australia to Zimbabwe, we want to applaud exceptional hospitality businesses for offering TripAdvisor travellers a great customer experience.”
Situated on Mission Bay and a block away from Mission Beach, the Bahia Resort Hotel is owned and operated by Evans Hotels. For hotel reservations call 858-488-0551 or visit www.bahiahotel.com.
