Bahia Resort Hotel Hosts “Cruise For A Cause” Food Drive Aboard Bahia Belle To Benefit San Diego Food Bank
Mission Bay — The Bahia Resort Hotel has partnered with San Diego Food Bank to host the “Cruise for a Cause” food drive aboard the Bahia Belle sternwheeler every weekend in November, beginning tonight.
Mission Bay cruises aboard the Bahia Belle on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays this month are free with a donation of two nonperishable food items. Guests bringing five or more items will also receive a complimentary boarding pass for a future cruise.
“Hosting a food drive is the least we can do to help those in need in San Diego, especially with the holiday season upon us,” said Ilsa Butler, Bahia Resort Hotel Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We hope locals and tourists alike will experience the beauty of Mission Bay while contributing to a worthy cause.”
Family hour cruises run from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Cocktail cruises begin at 10:00 p.m. and run until 1:30 a.m. The Bahia Belle’s schedule is listed here: Bahia Belle Schedule.
The Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, the Food Bank distributed nearly 20 million pounds of food and it serves, on average, 320,000 people per month in San Diego County.
