Annual Champagne Brunch and a Kids Knee High Buffet

SAN DIEGO, California (May 2010) – The Bahia Hotel welcomes the whole family to celebrate Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9th, offering an elegant brunch buffet with hand-carved specialties, sweeping bay views, and sternwheeler cruises on sparkling Mission Bay.

Cheers to Mom, and enjoy a festive brunch served in the Mission Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy the piano artistry of John Cain and spectacular views overlooking Mission Bay as they sample a dazzling array of breakfast and lunch favorites, including an omelet and waffle station, bacon and sausage, and assorted pastries. Carved items include Roast Tom Turkey, Baked Ham, and Slow Roasted Prime Rib. Sautéed Seafood with Lobster Fennel cream sauce, and a Grilled Salmon with Passion Fruit and Papaya Glaze will delight any Seafood lover.

Delight the kids at the Special Knee-High Buffet, catering to a youthful palate with Mini-Sliders, Wings, Homemade Macaroni and Cheese, Pizza, Tater Tots, Mixed Fruit Salad, and Jell-O Jigglers.

Treat Mom to a sweet finale to a terrific brunch, the Bananas Foster served warm with French Vanilla Ice Cream and The Raspberry and White Chocolate Bread Pudding will prepare the voyage to set sail on the sternwheelers.

The Bahia Sternwheelers provide a unique San Diego experience to complement a truly memorable event to Celebrate with Mom. The Bahia Belle and the William D. Evans are replicas of 1860s era Mississippi riverboats that will cruise on the waters of Mission Bay. Cruise times differ and start at 11:30 p.m until 5:30 p.m.

Brunch prices are $40.95 for adults and $19.95 for children ages 5 – 12 (those under 5 eat free), and include mimosas, champagne, and a complimentary cruise on Mission Bay between The Bahia Resort Hotel and sister property Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa.
