Food, Fun, and Fireworks on the Fourth of July: Bahia Resort Hotel Offers the Best Celebration in Town

Sternwheeler William D. Evans to cruise Mission Bay

Where’s the very best place to celebrate the Fourth of July in America’s Finest City? On the scenic shores of Mission Bay, the Bahia Resort Hotel is offering the quintessential Fourth, highlighted by an All-American ribs and fried chicken buffet and a fun-packed fireworks cruise on the turn-of-the-century-style sternwheeler William D. Evans.

The annual Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise is a magical voyage that offers incomparable views of San Diego’s Independence Day sparkle. Aboard the William D. Evans, guests will watch fireworks displays in the skies all over the city as they enjoy an array of buffet foods, live entertainment and dancing through the evening. Refreshments include an American Buffet with hot dogs, fried chicken, beans, corn on the cob, and potato salad, as well as a Montage Hors D’oeuvres buffet with assorted breads, cheeses and fresh seasonal fruit and a dessert and coffee buffet. Tickets for the Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise are $45 per person, $35 for registered hotel guests and $20 for children under age 12. Guests on the Fireworks Cruise must be at least 21 years old or accompanied by an adult. The William D. Evans will board at 7:30 pm and depart at 8:00 pm with no stops. The Fireworks Cruise will end at 10:30 pm.

The Bahia Belle will also cruise Mission Bay through the July 4th evening, beginning at 6:30 pm. It departs the Bahia at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, 10:30, 11:30, and 12:30, and the Catamaran at 7:00, 8:00, 10:00 11:00, 12:00, and 1:00 with no stops between 8:30 pm and 10:00 pm. The cruise ends at 1:30 am. Cover charge is $15 for adults and $10 for children under age 12. Cruises after 10:30 pm are for ages 21 and over only.

On shore, the Bahia Café will offer an All-American Buffet that features ribs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, beans, assorted salads, and more, at $15.95 per person. The Café’s standard menu will also be available all evening.

Tickets for the Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise will be sold at the Café Bahia from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm Beginning June 16th. Reservations with credit cards will be accepted by telephone (858) 539-7635.
