Summer 2006 To Be Deliciously Entertaining At The Bahia Resort Hotel
Live Entertainment, Boat Cruises on the Bay Every Day
of the Week, and Special Themed Buffets
San Diego, California (March 2006) – Life is always a banquet on the beautiful shores of Mission Bay, and the Bahia Resort Hotel is offering a particularly rich menu of recreational activities, live entertainment, and specialty buffets for the summer of 2006.
A summer tradition for area residents and a treat for visitors, the Bahia Belle will cruise through the lovely summer evenings on Mission Bay every day of the week at 6:30 pm. Bahia Bell cruises are free for registered guests. This summer, there’s a full calendar of live entertainment for all ages on the Bahia Belle. For kids, Lisa Laughbaum will perform on Sundays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm followed by “Nude Blues Solo” 9:00 pm to midnight both starting July 9. On Monday nights, starting July 11, it’s “Fish & the Seaweeds” from 8:30pm to 12:00am. Tuesdays “Private Domaine” will be playing 8:30 pm-12:30 am beginning July 5. Starting June 7 there will be a Disc Jockey on Wednesdays 8:30 pm-12:30 am. Thursdays and Saturdays will bring the blues, with the “Nude Blues” Blues Cruise from 8:30 pm to 1:30 am, and on Fridays “B Natural” performs 8:30 pm-1:00 am.
Mystery Café, named “Best Dinner Theater” by San Diego Magazine and the San Diego Reader, returns to Bahia Hotel for the fourth summer with the interactive murder mystery “Survive This!”. The dinner theater presentation takes place on the turn-of-the-century-style sternwheeler William D. Evans on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm starting July 5. Special buffets highlight the summer schedule at the Bahia Café, with elaborate themed menus and live entertainment offered on the patio beginning in July. Mondays feature a Caribbean Dinner Buffet with the Caribbean Steel Drum Band “U-B Jammin,” and Tuesdays offer an Italian Buffet with a disc jockey. On Thursdays, a live mariachi band provides musical entertainment for the Mexican Dinner Buffet. Saturdays will feature a Prime Rib Dinner Buffet at $21.95 for adults and $12.95 for children, with live entertainment from “The Bone” starting July 8. All dinner buffets are offered 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The Bahia Café also offers a Breakfast Buffet from 6:30 am to 10:30 am seven days a week.
At the Bahia’s Tangier Bar, open 11:30 am to 1:30 am, guests will enjoy live music on the piano from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am Wednesday through Saturday beginning in July 6. Happy Hour, with discounted drinks and food, is offered seven days a week from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Another returning favorite is Movie Nights at the Pool, offered Tuesday and Saturday evenings from dusk to 11:00 pm starting July 8. Inner tubes, for watching the cinema from the water, are provided.
The Pool Bar and Grill will offer a full bar, sundries and food from noon to 5:00 pm daily beginning June 4, with live entertainment from the Caribbean Steel Drum Band “U-B Jammin” on Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday, 1-5 pm, starting July 7.
