SPRING INTO EASTER BY THE BAY
AT THE BAHIA RESORT HOTEL
Resort Offers Champagne Brunch with Spectacular Views,
Boat Cruises on the Bay, and an Easter Egg Hunt
San Diego, California (March 2007) - The Bahia Resort will celebrate Easter and welcome spring in festive style on Sunday, April 8, offering an elegant brunch buffet with hand-carved specialties, music, and sweeping bay views, sternwheeler cruises on sparkling Mission Bay, and a lively Easter egg hunt.
Begin the festivities with a champagne Easter
Brunch Buffet, served in the Mission Ballroom from 10 a.m.
to 3 p.m. Guests will enjoy the piano artistry of John Cain
and spectacular views overlooking Mission Bay as they sample
a dazzling array of breakfast and lunch favorites, including
an omelet and waffle station, bacon and sausage, and assorted
pastries. Carved items include Roast Tom Turkey, Roast Leg
of Lamb, and Roast Steamship of Beef. Sicilian Chicken prepared
with Madera wine and served with orzo offers a light but
satisfying alternative. Seafood lovers may choose from pepper-crusted
Halibut served with citrus and chervil, a tropical shrimp
salad, assorted sautéed seafood with a lobster fennel cream
sauce, and peel & eat shrimp. Before hunting for eggs, kids
can fortify themselves at the Special Knee-High Buffet,
catering to a youthful palate with Chicken Dinos, Homemade
Macaroni and Cheese, Pizza, Tater Tots, Mixed Fruit Salad,
and Jello.
Accompaniments include fragrant saffron rice, spicy Southwest Cornbread Stuffing, roasted butternut squash with butter and garlic, and steamed white cream potatoes with chervil. The famous Bahia Salad Bar features domestic and exotic greens and specialty salads, including shaved fennel with salami and ham, tomato salad, an artichoke asparagus salad with tangy lemon dressing, and the Naples Antipasto Display. The Fruit and Cheese Montage presents an enticing variety of fresh seasonal fruits matched with assorted cheeses, including warm, baked brie.
To satisfy the sweet tooth, forage for hidden treasure in Peter Cottontail's Dessert Patch, stocked with Bananas Foster, Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce, and Hoppin' Dave's selection of pies, cake, and pastries.
Before or after brunch, Mr. and Mrs. Bunny
Rabbit invite children between the ages of two and twelve
to be their guests for the Bahia's Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Two separate hunts, one beginning at 12 noon and the other
