SAN DIEGO, California (November 2011) – The Bahia Hotel will celebrate Thanksgiving and welcome in the Holiday Season on Thursday, November 24th offering an elegant brunch buffet with hand-carved specialties, music, and sweeping bay views, on San Diego’s Mission Bay.

Served in the elegant Mission Bay Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests will enjoy the piano artistry of John Cain and spectacular views overlooking Mission Bay as they sample a dazzling array of breakfast and lunch favorites, including an omelet and waffle station, bacon and sausage, and assorted pastries. Carved items include Roast Tom Turkey, Spiced rubbed Pork Tenderloin, Herb crusted Salmon and Maple glazed ham. An original musical comedy Once Upon a Wedding will set the scene for Daisy and Davis’s not so perfect day.  A hilarious showcase of the Bride, Daisy, and her groom, Davis, are blissfully in love and surrounded by their dear friends and family.  Not a thing can go wrong. Chef Famulare originally joined Evans Hotels in January of 2005 as the Restaurant Chef of The Atoll at the Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa.  While there, Famulare created a unique fusion of Pacific Rim and Californian cuisine for the bayfront restaurant at the Bahia’s sister property.  Prior to his position at The Catamaran, Chef Famulare was the Kitchen Manager at the renowned Beachcomber Restaurant in Wellfleet, Massachusetts and the Restaurant Chef for Dalia’s Bistro and Wine Bar in Boston.

Chef Famulare started working in restaurants as a summer job at the age of 15. Quickly gaining the expertise and knowledge of the culinary industry, by 17 he was sauté cook at one of the busiest waterfront restaurants in Cape Cod. His love for fresh seafood started on Cape Cod, and during his time cooking in the Virgin Islands. However, Famulare feels that the fresh California produce in San Diego is exceptional. Chef Rob has a great appreciation for culinary innovation and excellence, and it will be evident in every dish at the Bahia.
