“Engagement Party” for Couples Will Ease the Stress of Wedding Planning
San Diego, California (February 2013) –

February is the month of romance. But for many San Diego couples planning their weddings, the stress of logistics and decision-making can certainly impact the joy (and romance) of the occasion.

In an effort to make things easier for the future bride and groom, the Bahia Hotel will host an “Engagement Party” on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm at the Mission Bay resort. This event will give couples the opportunity to personally experience the various wedding ceremony and reception venues available at the property. These include the outdoor ceremony areas on the beach and at the resort pond, as well as reception venues in the Grand Ballroom, Del Mar Junior Ballroom, and on the historic William D. Evans Sternwheeler.

Couples will have the opportunity to stroll from one venue to another, to be greeted by wedding coordinators who will conduct short introductions to the bridal amenities available at each area.
The Bahia Resort Hotel hosts more than 120 weddings annually. The resort can accommodate small bridal parties with a minimum of 40 guests, to major wedding events of up to 500 guests. Resort Receives Highest Ranking for Outstanding Environmental Practices

St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) – To kick off spring break, the Bahia Belle will be cruising on St. Patrick’s Day. This will be treated similar to a public run with the addition of special holiday beer & 16oz. Guinness cans. In the evening we will offer a trio of corned beef and cabbage “sliders” as well as Guinness Beef Stew in a sourdough bread bowl at both the Café Bahia and Tangier Lounge.
Spring Break Activities & Pool Grill (March 17 – April 24) – The Pool Bar will be open Thursday through Sunday with sandwiches and salads available. Served in the elegant Mission Bay Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests will enjoy the piano artistry of John Cain and spectacular views overlooking Mission Bay as they sample a dazzling array of breakfast and lunch favorites, including an omelet and waffle station, bacon and sausage, and assorted pastries.
