A New Kind of Boardwalk

Located on the Boardwalk of Mission Beach is the historic amusement center Belmont Park, founded in 1925. The original wooden roller coaster, the Giant Dipper, still stands and operates there today. The amusement park also features some more contemporary attractions such as the Tilt-A-Whirl, a three-story drop tower (the “Vertical Plunge”), Arcade games and the newest addition Adrenaline Zone which includes a rock climbing wall, zip line and Laser maze.

Belmont Park also offers oceanfront dining at its dynamic restaurants the WaveHouse Beach Club, Draft, and its most recent property CannonBall which opened April 1st 2015. The WaveHouse Beach Club features two thrilling wave simulators the FlowRider and the FlowBarrel that allow beginners and professionals alike to experience the excitement of a perfect endless wave. The restaurant Draft which is located on the Boardwalk of South Mission Beach carries 69 beers on draft and has a fresh take on beachside dining. Lastly, the rooftop venue Cannonball pleases with its breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean and servings of handcrafted Sushi and California inspired cuisine.
