Guest Rooms

A main focus of the renovation, each of the resort’s 313 rooms were upgraded. The design overhaul features a bright, beach esthetic with new wall coverings, carpeting, and drapes. All rooms were upgraded with new furniture, 65 inch TVs, faster Wi-Fi, and modern bathrooms. Ideal for longer family stays, guests can also book rooms with amenities like kitchenettes upgraded with quartz countertops.

Beach Digs

The Bahia’s secluded beach area on Mission Bay was refreshed with new beach cabanas along with an additional seating area with lounge beach chairs paired with umbrellas. Perfect for enjoying stunning views of Mission Bay, sink your toes into the sand while you soak up the sun.

A Welcoming Arrival

When you arrive, you will be greeted with an expanded lobby with gorgeous LaCantina Doors which create a free-flowing open concept and additional indoor and outdoor seating. The renovation stays consistent with the resort’s Moroccan theme and incorporates zellige-inspired tile, stucco, arched entrances, and open outdoor spaces.  

Dining and Lounge Upgrades

When hunger strikes, Dockside 1953 has you covered. The resort’s brand new signature restaurant opened in spring 2022 and offers diners a front-row seat to gorgeous marina and Mission Bay views. The casual-Californian beachside design concept features yacht club-inspired furnishings including tabletops and menu boards that resemble vintage wooden boat decking. Dockside 1953 also boasts a spacious outdoor patio with cozy fire pits and a covered trellis perfect for year-round outdoor dining.

Grab ‘N Go at the Airstream

The resort also recently opened a grab ‘n go café inside a repurposed Airstream. The café is located right outside the lobby and offers fast breakfast and lunch options to-go, plus a variety of coffee and other beverages.

Event Spaces

The renovation project extended to the resort’s almost 20,000 square feet of versatile event space. The Mission Bay Ballroom, the resort's largest venue complete with high ceilings and panoramic views of Mission Bay, now has upgraded carpeting, window fixtures, and eight striking chandeliers. The other venues on property also received a refresh with new carpet, wallpaper, and new ceilings.

Previously the resort's bar and lounge, Tangier is the newest private event space offering a versatile indoor-outdoor setting. Tangier upgraded its furniture with Moroccan architecture-inspired tables and chairs with vibrant tile accents. On the patio, a beautifully handcrafted stucco fireplace was added to the outdoor seating area.

Playground

The kids can play, climb, and slide at the new playground at the Bahia Resort Hotel. Surrounded by tropical palms and lush plants, the playground is a haven for kids looking to scale a rock wall facade, play tag with new friends, and go down the slide over and over again. The playground is conveniently located next to the resort's tennis courts.
